MY DESIGN PROCESS:

This section aims to describe my design process to give you a better understanding of the services I provide and the fees I may recommend.

Design Brief:

This section covers an initial conversation with you, the client, to gain a better understanding of your aspirations, requirements and needs. Our encounter will involve a friendly introductory chat to discuss your objectives, budget, programme (and other constraints) as well as anything you may want clarified.

Proposal:

Every proposal is tailored to each individual project so in this section, I propose a fee with the proposed scope of works based on your design brief.

Concept Design and Layout Planning:

I can organize a detailed survey of the area or site, outline a proposed layout plan and initial imagery board to give you a clear understanding of the design or style direction.

Detailed Design Progression:

This section of my process is a collaboration with you (my client) and other consultants required to realize your build. At this point a contractor and/or craftsman may come on board to assist us. Layout and concept designs are expanded by way of digital drawings and (or)sketch up visuals; materials and finishes are explored by way of mood boards for the spaces, and specification of finishes i.e. fittings, lighting and other accessories. A concept design for any bespoke joinery and specialist details are drawn up should this be needed; budgets are updated in parallel by soliciting trade quotes from local or preferred suppliers and manufacturers-all of which are agreed with you and/or your contractor. Should the build require additional approvals (Planning Approval and Building Control), the scope is dealt with at this point by way of a planning and construction drawing package.

Construction and Project Management:

To provide added support by way of site visits, snagging and over-all quality control.

Feng Shui Design:

I can incorporate the basic tenets of Feng Shui in the design for fortuitous living.

E-Design:

I also offer a new personalized feature (E-Design) through interactive layouts i.e. furniture plans interior 2D elevations, a 3D model, mood and material boards and a written design brief as a bundle package that gives you the freedom to choose how you prefer to move forward independently. An initial chat can be arranged at your convenience to talk about your needs and the overall style direction free-of-charge.
